Juneteenth celebration started today across the United States. It is celebrated being a day that brought freedom when last slave of United States was being set free in year 1865. It was the day in year 1865 when community got together to celebrate the freedom of U.S. slaves for the very first time. Celebration of the day today has been started in St. Joseph Park.

Juneteenth celebration will include special activities to children, a health fair, The Juneteenth Peace Walk and whole day performances of several bands and singers. If we go through the activities of the children in this celebration, it will include balloon animals, face painting, clown, crafts and competition of chess. Juneteenth car show will also be the part of this year’s celebration.

It has been said by the announcer of several activities, Michael McFadden that the day is considered one of the important days to bring together the people of community to recall their past and to look ahead. He further added that remembering the happenings of Emancipation Proclamation is not the only aim of Juneteenth celebration but it is to remember the result of that incident.

McFadden further added that progress of that day is being celebrated by us every year and we still need to progress more and more and celebration are also being done for the future days.

if we go through Juneteenth history, though an Emancipation Proclamation was being issued by Abraham Lincoln, former president of United States to free slaves on 1st of January 1863 but it took a long to act upon this and slaves were free on 19th of June 1865.

Jose Saramago, Nobel Prize winner writer who won this prize in 1998 in the field of Literature, has died. According to latest updates, he has died today at his home, located in Canary Islands of Spain in Lanzarote at the age of 87. He became very first Portuguese who won Nobel Prize in his native language in Literature field. The initial cause of his death has been told as failure of multi-organs.

Jose Saramago had been ill for a long time and died today at the age of 87, said by Jose Saramago Foundation. They further said that he was in his family at the time of his death and died in peaceful and placid way. According to reports, he had been suffering from Leukemia for a long time. He wrote “Blindness” in year 1995 which took him a lot of internationally.

Jose Saramago was feeling well today morning and he had taken breakfast as his routine with his wife along with some chat with her but later on in the day, his health getting worst and worst and finally he died, reported by his family to media. He was born near Lisbon in Azinhaga town on 16 th of November 1922 and spent his early childhood and young age in capital.

Jose Saramago actually belonged to a lower middle class family and could not get admission in university to complete higher education due to financial problems but he did not give hope and worked part-time to support his studies.

Defying Gravity show has been cancelled and it is a very sad news for all the fans of this show which was not popular as well and I believe the number of fans of this show will also not be so many. ABC has finally decided to cancel this show before airing all of the thirteen episodes that were planned and filmed already without any explanation.

Defying gravity has been cancelled by the ABC Network without making any official announcement but the cancellation decision was made clear during the broadcast of September 13 when it was announced by them that this episode will be the final one of the season and also the preview of the next episode was not shown at the end of the show.

Well this move of the ABC to cancel the show is not a surprise at all as Defying Gravity show was moved to Friday night from Sunday night by the CTV of Canada and also it was pretty clear that some adjustments are needed to increase the rating of this show but I think it became clear to them the resolution would not be that easy and resulted in the cancellation of the show.

Series listing of the Defying Gravity was removed the schedule listing by the ABC last week which was the clear indication that the show has been planned to cancel but as still there is no official announcement has been made by the ABC, so there is still some hope for the continuity of Defying Gravity show among its fans.

Rajasekhara Reddy Andhra Pradesh CM has been announced dead by the government of India officials. He has been killed with four other persons that were carrying through the chopper around 24 hours ago and were vanished from the scene as the officials were unable to make any contact to that chopper and also the exact location of their missing area was also not confirmed.

The chopper of the Andhra Pradesh CM Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy was reported missing in a densely forested area. A PMO official told the media that the bodies have been found and will be taken to the Hyderabad for further processing of post-mortem. He was talking to the media after finding distorted remains of the Bell helicopter on a hilltop in Kurnool, which is around two hundred kilometer away from Hyderabad.

A whole day and night search in pouring rain had been conducted by the villages and searching parties of the helicopters in the forested surroundings for the ruins, and finally they located the remains at east of Kurnool town at around 40 nautical miles. The Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh was well known with the name YSR.

James Traficant, former representative of Ohio has been released from the prison of Minnesota on Wednesday after being served around seven year punishment for racketeering and bribery. Traficant, a Democrat of nine-term from Youngstown stepped into a cab after leaving the Federal Medical Center in Rochester.

While sitting into the cab, a question of a shouting reporter was ignored by James Traficant. He was wearing white shorts, T-shirt, white socks of knee-high at that time with an all time famous wild hair into pulled back style. Three years of probation will also be faced by him. It is still to be announced by him that he will return back to his public life or he will get his retirement.

James Traficant 68, well known for his wild hair and was one of the most colorful members of the Congress with his brief speeches on the floor. Traficant was convicted in 2002 in a harsh trial of racketeering and bribery for accepting taking kickbacks from the staff members and bribers from businessmen.

He was then disqualified by the Congress and became the second member of the House to be expelled for unethical conduct after the Civil War. In 2004 James Traficant was transferred to the Rochester facility where specialized medical services are provided to the prisoners. Traficant will report regularly to the probation officer during his probation period of three years in which getting permission from traveling outside the northern Ohio is also included.

Alexis Tioseco, a well known Filipino-Canadian film critic was shot dead with his best friend and love Nika Bohinc, a Slovenian programmer and critic. Both have been killed during a robbery on Tuesday night at their home in Quezon City. The door was opened by a household when the bell was rung by three gunmen who then robbed the valuables and shot the couple, according to the local news reports.

Alexis Tioseco was of good reputation lecturer, critic and writer and his murdered news has made the Asian film community sad. Rising wave of independent filmmakers was also helped by Tioseco to the overseas and local audiences as well. Tioseco was an editor of Criticine.com and was a champion of the cinema of South-East Asian.

More than seven million copies of these books have been sold yet. Sheila Lukins was also the owner and co-founder of the popular gourmet shop “Silver Palate” in New York City.

She was the columnist and food editor for “Parade” for the last 23 years. This position was previously with Julia Child. Sheila Lukins spent her childhood in Westport, Connecticut and Norwalk. She got the arts education from the “School of Visual Arts”, “Tyler School of Fine Arts” and “New York University” and earned the bachelor’s degree in Art Education.

Sheila Lukins joined Le Cordon Bleu in London, England as a graphic designer. And later on she continued culinary education in France and that was the place where she worked with Michelin being a star chef in Bordeaux. Sheila Lukins was diagnosed brain cancer in the month of June 2009 and died on August 30, 2009 due to the same disease at her home in Manhattan. she died at the age of 66.
